Northwest Gold

Wagon Wheel Figure Skating Club is proud of our High School skaters who formed their first ever regional High School Figure Skating Team, the Northwest Gold, in 2021. Comprised of skaters who attend high schools or homeschool in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois, the team competes in the Illinois Skating Council’s High School Competition Series. Events for High School students include Team Maneuvers, Excel Free Skates, and Solo Dance. Teams compete based on Singles level. The team focuses on camaraderie and showcases the ability of our high school skaters to be student-athletes. The team meets out of the Crystal Ice House.
